Cognitive Program

  Description

  The purpose of Revitalization Training is to review the Virginia Department of Corrections' re-entry initiative with the inmate population and ensure that the inmates have a clear understanding of the Cognitive Community Model and its purpose.

• 

  Length of Program

  Three consecutive days

• 

  Eligibility

  Inmates currently in Phase I – Pre-Cognitive Community and Phase II – Cognitive Community are required to attend. In addition, all inmates who are serving as Elders in reentry programming are encouraged to attend.
