RICHMOND – Virginia Department of Corrections (DOC) Director Ron Angelone announced today the appointment  of John M. Jabe as Deputy Director of Administration. Jabe will succeed Ed Morris who will retire from the Department at the end of March.
“John Jabe brings nearly 40 years of experience and knowledge to this position,” said Director Angelone. “The Department is lucky to have him and even luckier to have him in this position.”

Jabe, 62, began his career in corrections in Michigan as a former Warden and Deputy Director for Michigan DOC. He came to the Virginia DOC in 1994 as Warden at Greensville Correctional Center in Jarratt. His most recent position was as Assistant Director, Division of Operations.

Jabe received his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1962. He is married and has two children.
