Work Centers and Public Service Work Crews

Inmates housed primarily at Work Centers serve local governments and other state agencies with low-cost labor crews. These crews provide services such as:

• Maintaining grounds at the State Capitol and in State Parks
• Painting schools and public buildings
• Cleaning landfills
• Helping localities in emergencies such as floods and heavy snow
