James R. Camache

James R. Camache is the Deputy Director of Community Corrections.

He has 40 years' experience in Virginia’s Criminal Justice field. The positions that he has held include Probation & Parole Officer, Chief Probation & Parole Officer, Regional Manager, Regional Administrator, and Interstate Compact Administrator.

He has served on numerous Boards including the Criminal Justice Training Academy, Mental Health Board, and the Public Defender Commission.

He has administered the state’s Community Corrections since 1995.
